TheTraderWiki

Cookie policy

TheTraderWiki’s cookie policy is short because the site sets no cookies at all: no advertising cookies, no analytics cookies and no tracking of any kind. The only thing the site ever keeps in your browser is the country you pick on the broker comparison, and only once you pick one.

What the site stores in your browser

Browser storage on TheTraderWiki is one item. The table also lists every other kind of stored data and labels it as not used, so you can see the whole picture in one place.

Everything the site could store in a browser, and what it actually does.

Why the country is remembered

Your country is remembered so the broker comparison opens with rows and payment methods that apply to you when you return, not every country. It is saved only when you choose a country in the selector. Your country is never sent to the site and holds nothing that identifies you. Whenever no country is stored, the page may narrow the comparison to a country guessed from your browser’s language setting, such as Germany for a browser set to German. That guess is made in your browser each time and is not stored or sent anywhere.

How to remove it or stop it

You can remove the stored country in a few seconds. The site works fully without it.

  • Clear the site’s data in your browser settings, and the stored country will go with it.
  • Block site storage in your browser, and no country is remembered. Then, each time, the comparison opens on the country guessed from your browser’s language. If there is no guess, it opens on every country. You can still pick another country or show all.
  • Turn scripts off, and every page still loads, down to every row of every table.

The privacy policy sets out what the site does with personal data more generally, and questions go through the contact page.
